Oman visa status online, check through passport

Oman visa status- Oman is a neighboring nation to the United Arab Emirates and shares a land and sea boundary with the UAE’s southern region.

Remaining on the shore of the Arabian Peninsula the country has hosted the hottest temperature in the world and gets little rainfall among the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Oman holds a tactically vital position at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, the country has shared the land border with the United Arab Emirates toward the northwest, Saudi Arabia toward the west, Yemen toward the southwest, and marine outskirts with Iran and Pakistan.

I have visited Muscat so many times which is the capital city of the country. Although it is a small desert country in the pan Arab region it stands out as a most lovely and astounding nation.

Why visit Oman?

Whether you come in through work or visit visa it does not matter you would get a warm welcome from Omani nationals who are the most courteous people among the Gulf countries.

Small and sultanate country with a 4.36 million population, the country offers its visitors uncommon cultural research of the Arab world.

Muscat is a low ascent town compared to the most popular cities in the Gulf region such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Riyadh but it has retained the traditional values of the Muslim world.

Visitors from around the world can observe the fabulous desert mountains, wind blowing desert, and pristine coastline as well as the natural beauty of the desert.

Even though Oman welcomes most of the tourists from GCC countries but there is an unstoppable rise in the number of visitors from western and Asian countries in recent years.

For that reason, Oman has granted the visit visa on arrival to the citizen of the many countries.

Just like the other Gulf countries. The ministry of tourism of Oman has pushed for the Digital Society and e-Government national strategy for transforming the government services from the traditional offices to access from any electronic gadgets.

Now the Omani government has implemented information technology in various departments so the system provides the service to its user electronically.

Switch the job in Oman?

Visit visa for UAE how can you find a job on it?

A visit visa for UAE allows the relatives, friends, and family members of UAE residents to enter the country for visiting purposes.

The companies, travel agencies, and other institutions in UAE also provide a visit visa for the person who comes to attend seminars, training, sports event, and the festival.

Since UAE implemented a unique system, the visitors can search for jobs both on tourist and visit visas but are unauthorized to work without converting the work visa.

Many people prefer to come on a visit visa and then look for a dream job in the UAE. With the new revision of the UAE visit visa in 2022, job seekers around the world can apply and obtain it without any hassle.

Why should you come to the UAE on a visit visa?

Coming on a working visa, you may have to pay a huge amount of cash to the agent or manpower agency in your country.

But coming through a visits visa costs you less and takes little time with a straightforward process.

If you are already in the UAE or have a  plan to come here on a visits or tourist visa. I am writing this blog with a few hints which help you to look for a job on a Dubai visit visa.

How is the UAE job market?

Dubai’s job market has become highly competitive, reason for that, It’s difficult to get a job because a large number of competitors are searching for opportunities than the available job in the market.

As possible every weekend I visit Bur Dubai and Deira to meet my friends. I am constantly meeting people from all over the world who are here on a visit visa searching for employment in Dubai and other cities in the UAE.

They are looking for openings throughout the UAE, but it is unclear who will be hired and who will return empty-handed, wasting time and money in this country.

You might have watched videos on YouTube and read the articles with tips to search for a job right?. These techniques may be effective in some situations, but the majority of the time it is dependent on how much time you devote to the job-search process.

People on visit visas desperately look for a job because if they return to their country without getting a job it can cost their time, cash, and esteem in the public eye.

What is essential to keep in your mind?

Writing a cover letter with the date your visa expires and requesting a note to the hiring manager to give you a chance for employment won’t help you to get a job fast, because no one cares about it.

The hiring manager is always busy with work and is more concerned about the company’s business.

Although they are systematic you may not be the only one, and they may have many applications from applicants who are comparable circumstances to you.

Follow these steps to look for a job in UAE through a visit visa.
  1. Be prepared

Good preparation leads to success, that’s why, before traveling to Dubai, the first thing you must do is document attestation.

Because of the numerous frauds discovered in the past, Dubai companies do not believe in your education certificate, particularly if you are from a developing country.

Attest your document from respective government bodies in your home country and ratify from the UAE embassy if it’s possible.

2. Apply for a job from your country

This is the age of the internet you can reach out someone with a matter of a click. You have to apply for jobs online from your home country three months before you plan to arrive.

If any company wants to hire you they can call for an interview. You can enter the UAE on a visit visa near the time of the interview.

When you applying for a job from your country refer that you are coming to UAE on visit visa.

The company may require a candidate in UAE for the interview, so, you should mention on your cover letter that you would be available in the UAE at the time of the interview.

The hiring manager can consider your application because he should not have to do anything for your availability in the UAE at the time of the interview. You can convey this message via email or incorporate it on the CV

3. Compose a professional CV.

This is your first step in searching for a job, your CV should be responsible, professional, and evaluated by an expert.

Try not to compose a general CV, it is a good idea to get a piece of expert’s advice before making the CV.

Better, set up your cv and cover letter by working with a recruitment organization or professional CV writer Because they have huge experience and knowledge about the keywords which impress the hiring manager.

The main challenge for you to impress the recruitment team by your cv and get a call for an interview.

4. Send out a cover letter with the application.

The cover letter is not a CV because there are fundamental differences between them. The CV is a detailed oriented document and cover letter is a requesting note to the hiring manager to arrange for an interview.

Mention your visit visa status in the cover letter. The hiring manager usually does not see your cv because they may have other works to do.

when you mention it in the cover letter. such as your visit visa status, its expiry date and your departure date from UAE,  it can draw their attention to the application.

Mention your contact address in your CV or cover letter. Another thing you should not forget to remark in your CV is, up to when you are accessible in UAE for the interview.

Incorporating your street address, email address, and phone number on your CV or cover letter not only makes it easy for the interviewer to contact you but also makes your application professional.

5. Keep hope for future

It is not guaranteed that the companies would hire you in the first place. If they are interested in the future hiring can provide the visa and ticket including the job offer letter.

My friend was an engineering professional he came to Dubai looking for a job we tried very hard to find a job for him.

Finally, all expectations were dashed when he returned home empty-handed after spending nearly AED15 thousand on his journey from Nepal to the UAE and back.

After 4 months, the construction company in Dubai offered him the job and provided all expenses such as visa, ticket and other governmental fees.

Don’t focus only on the opportunity on your hand and keep hope for the future?

6. Apply for a specific job.

After completing your CV and Cover letter start sending out to the job opening. But always keep in mind you will get a call for an interview where your skill and experiences match.

If you apply for a lot of jobs and don’t get a call for an interview, your morale will deteriorate, so avoiding applying for jobs for which you obviously aren’t qualified is a good idea.

Mention your expected salary in the application which covers your living cost in Dubai. Don’t mention the lower salary than the market because Dubai is an expensive city in the region.

8. Attend a walk-in-interview as much as possible.

Dubai holds many job fairs with the support of numerous national and worldwide companies.

Going to such occasions and having an interview with employers increase the chance of hiring in a short period of time.

In the interview, pass information to the hiring manager or team member about your visit visa expiring date.

Tell them you have expected a positive response. Even if you have already returned to your home country, let them know that you have provided contact information on your CV so that they can contact you if they require you for a future opening.

9. Send thanking letter.

After finishing your interview send thanking email to the hiring manager. Furthermore, include your contact number in the UAE, as well as your contact address of your country.

10. How to manage a desperate situation?

When you are in a frantic state of mind don’t lose your patience. Be sure and think about professionalism at the time you are meeting the hiring manager.

In the interview, professionally pass the information that you really need a job because the visa is near expiring. There is nothing too desperate at all, still, you are living the world is no end.

If you are not hired this time you can come again. Everything happens at the right time but you should be systematic to look for the job and application process.

In conclusion: These above tips may help you to search for a job in Dubai. If you hire it is good for you if not, everything is not finished you can come again.

There is no official data available on how many people come on a visit visas for a job in UAE. In my opinion, not everybody able to get hired on a visit visa but 70% might have succeeded.

Not everything that I have expressed here would work for everyone. So, I want to know your experience and knowledge regarding this matter just comment below.

SIRA training and exam for security guard in Dubai.

SIRA training is essential for private security guards in Dubai since it helps you pass the private security license exam and educates you on security-related skills.

The Security Industry Regulatory Authority (SIRA) is a government agency in Dubai that regulates private security companies and security professionals.

The SIRA is the new name for DPS (Dubai Protective Services), which was the regulatory agency established by the Dubai government to oversee security companies and professionals in 2005.

As a government agency, the SIRA has the authority to implement state security policies and establish them by national requirements.

Not only does the SIRA enforce the law but also provides basic security guard training which is very important for the security guard candidate because it leads to having a valid security guard license.

Security companies in Dubai trained their new staff themselves and sent them to the Dubai police academy for the examination. It was the previous method in Dubai for licensing security guards.

The Dubai government revised the DPS regulation in 2017 and renamed it the SIRA.

Now SIRA is the only organization that provides training and operating licenses for both security guards and security companies in Dubai.

What is SIRA?

SIRA, or the Security Industry Regulatory Authority, is the governing body responsible for regulating private security industries in Dubai. It operates as part of the Dubai government.

SIRA responsibilities:

  1.  Licensing security companies and security guards.
  2. Enforcement rules and regulations
  3. Training the security guards and taking the exams.
  4. Penalize the security guard and company for the violation of the regulation.

SIRA Training in Dubai:

The Security Training Centre (STC) is SIRA’s dedicated facility for providing training and conducting examinations for security personnel.

All security organizations in Dubai are required to comply with SIRA’s standard policies. Private security firms cannot deploy security personnel without a valid SIRA license.

If a security guard works without a valid SIRA license, both the employer and the guard may face significant fines. SIRA gives all types of training that are related to safety and security some of them are:-

  • Security Dog Training
  •  Safe Transportation Vehicles Trading
  • Preparation of Vehicles for Safe Transport
  • Security Studies & Consultancies
  • Centre for Operations & Monitoring Services
  • Security & Surveillance Systems Installation & Maintenance
  • Guard Property Services
  • Party Security & Private Guarding Services
  • Security control & Alarm Equipment Trading
  • Valuables Transport Services
  • Security Control & Monitoring Services

How can be a security guard in Dubai?

To work as a security guard in Dubai, you must have a valid SIRA license. After completing a week of training the SIRA will issue you a private security guard license.

SIRA rule only applies to Dubai because security guards working in other emirates such as Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain must obtain a PSCOD or PSFRD license.

How could I get SIRA training and a license?

There are two options for applying for the SIRA license in Dubai. There are no special visa requirements for obtaining the license. Individuals with resident visas, as well as tourists and visitors, can apply for this training.

As stated previously, there are two ways to apply for security training in Dubai, which I have described in greater detail below.

  1. A security company sends you for training.

The security firm in Dubai may recruit you either in the UAE or in your home country. When you arrive in Dubai, your employer will apply for training, and it will be your responsibility to attend training and pass the SIRA exam.

The SIRA Cadre Training Center (SCTC) is the place where the training is conducted and the exam is taken.

2. Get training through your expenditure.

The second option is to apply for the SIRA training yourself and pay the course fee on your own.

You can apply for the training by presenting yourself at the SIRA training academy. You must accept the training appointment date and attend the session as well. After completing the training, you will be able to obtain a security guard license in Dubai.

What is the age limit for SIRA training?

Although there is no age limit for participating in the training, candidates must be mentally and physically fit.

The minimum and maximum age for a security guard in the UAE is 21-55 years old, and the same is applicable for SIRA candidates.

The Process for Sira Dubai security training.

All newly hired security guards must go through a week of learning that consists of 36 hours. 60% of theoretical lessons and 40% of practical sessions continue throughout the training. You will learn the following skills:

  •  Overview and Purpose of the Security Industry
  •  Emergency System and Procedures
  •  Evidence and Crime Scene Preservation
  •  Effective Patrolling, Access Control
  •  How to search for vehicles and premises
  •  Requirements for Health and Safety at Work
  • Dealing with Emergencies
  • Requirements for Dealing with Fire and Safety
  • Communication and Customer Care
  • Effective Communications
  •  First Aid
  • Criminal investigation
  • Firefighting
  • Conflict management
  •  Candidates also learn to protect themselves and others in an emergency.

Require Qualification And Experience for SIRA training.

The entry-level training from SIRA does not require qualification and experience except you are going to take a higher level of training such as CCTV Operator, Security Supervisor, Security Manager, etc.

The senior Dubai police officers and other government bodies such as civil defense members play the role of instructors. After completion of training, the students are then tested in two exams.

1. SIRA training – Physical test.

There are five types of physical tests to determine whether the candidate is healthy and fit to do duty at any time in any situation.

A). Beep test:

The purpose of the beep test is to assess the aerobic capacity. so the candidate has to cross the 20 meters longer space and come back to the starting point on the beeping sound. It goes over and over up to 32 times.

B). Jumping test:

The candidate has to jump over the 1.7-meter-high bars. To pass this test you require to cross 6 to 7 bars. This is not a difficult part of the SIRA’s training. A simple practice before heading for training you can do without any difficulty.

C). Sled push:

This is another type of test the candidate has to push the sled from one point to another point within 4 seconds the distance between the points is 10m only.

 D). Sled pull:

It is the opposite part of the sled push. You have to pull the sled back to 5 meters in 6 seconds.

E). Sprinting test:

It is running you must cross 35 meters in 6 seconds.

2. SIRA Course- Written test.

The written test is an exam where you have to answer the questions. Most of the questions pick out from the topics that you had learned in classes. The written test has set up 100% marks questions, you should obtain 60% to pass the examination.

3. SIRA course in Dubai – Oral test

The oral exam is not there, but the instructor carefully evaluates your speaking and listening skills by asking questions in class. so when you are speaking to the instructor speak clearly and carefully.

Each security guard needs to have a strong personality and needs to be balanced when dealing with members of the public. The instructor decides your strengths and personality from this evaluation.

If you succeed in the SIRA test then you would get the course completion certificate along with a security guard license.

The certificate you are awarded here can be useful for your future career in the security industry in other countries too. Because it is authorized by a British vacation education organization.

SIRA Address Location:
