As a PayPal user for the past 7 years, I’m writing this blog for people who want to verify PayPal account in UAE without having a credit card.
PayPal an American online payment system is very important for making an online transaction for international purchases of goods, services, in addition, to send and receive money online.
What is PayPal?
Let me give you a short description of PayPal, which was established in 1998 and is an American online payment gateway. Primarily it had focused mainly in the US and Canada, the company now supports more than 202 countries around the globe.

Not all UAE residence can get the bank credit card because the UAE banks need a higher salary more than AED 5000 monthly for issuance of the card. If you are not eligible for a bank credit card the PayPal can be the right solution for the online cross-border transactions.
How to verify PayPal account in UAE?
UAE is one of the countries in the Gulf region where you can receive and send money in your PayPal account. PayPal encourages its users to verify their accounts to remove the transaction limitation.
The user can link their bank account from the U.S., Canada, Australia, and India for PayPal verification, but this is not a UAE option. You can verify the UAE Papal account in two separate ways.

- Log in to the PayPal account and add your card.
- click wallet.
- Click the confirm card link.
- Read all information for card verification on that page and ok.
PayPal would deduct a small amount of $1.95 for the transaction and later it would be refunded to your card. The deducted amount appears on your card statement 4 digit code with word of PayPal.
You can check your transaction code from your bank statement, check through online if you have subscribe the online banking package of the respective bank.
The last step goes to the PayPal account and clicks the wallet after then click the card confirmation link, enter the transaction code and submit. your account will verify immediately.
2. Verified without your credit card.
You can use your bank debit card acceptable for online payment to verify the Papal account without a credit card. Don’t confuse, you can’t use your salary account debit card for this purpose.
Some banks in UAE such as Dubai Islāmic bank, RAK bank, Emirates NBD bank and ADIB bank issue the debit card to customers for online shopping which can use for verifying the PayPal account.
You have to maintain a bank account at the respective branches of the bank for the online accepted debit card. It is not easy for the expats to open a bank account in the UAE because You need a letter from the organization where you are working.
Many businesses don’t allow their workers to open bank account in the various banks instead of banks where the salary payment account is maintained.
So, What is the solution?
You might know that the UAE Exchange is a leading money transfer, currency exchange and payment solution in the UAE. This company issues you a debit card at a minimum cost.
If you have a residency visa for more than 6 months go to the UAE exchange’s nearest branch and ask for Gocash debit card. You have to give your Emirates ID they will issue without any hassle.
What is the gocash card?
Go cash is a multi-currencies master debit card in another word travel card in which you can load up to 5 currencies from any UAE exchange counter and withdraw money from ATM in UAE or around the world.
How much does it cost?
They issue the renewable debit card valid for two years at the cost of 30DHS and every renewal will cost a similar amount.
How to active gocash?
The employee of UAE Exchange will guide you on how active your card. After the 2 hours from the card issues, you have to call their head office for activation. On the telephone conversation, the customer service staff asks you some questions for the security reason, your father’s name, card number and your date of birth.
When you pass the security check from giving the right answer the card will active after just 5 minutes.
Now linking and verify your PayPal account.
- Log in to the PayPal account and add your card.
- click wallet.
- Click the confirm card link.
- Read all information for card verification on that page and OK.

To view the transaction code go to go cash card customer portal, register your card and create an account. After registration complete, sign in your account and see the statement by clicking in the transaction history. You will find the four-digit transaction code with the word of PayPal.
In the last step, you have to do the same thing just verifying the PayPal account with the credit card above. Clicks wallet again then click the card confirmation link and enter the transaction code submit. your account verifies immediately.
In conclusion:- First, be sure that I am not promoting the gocash card but it was my experience when I needed to verify my PayPal account, the time my salary was less than the bank threshold for a credit card. In terms of charges, Gocash is better than a credit card in the UAE.
