The SIRA (Security Industry Regulatory Authority) is the regulatory organization that monitors private security companies and staff to see whether they are in compliance with the law in Dubai. Individuals who want to work as a security guards in Dubai need to attend basic security guard training, which is offered at SIRA training centers in Dubai.
Regardless of the type of visa you hold in Dubai, including residency, tourism, or visit, can apply for training and obtain a security guard license which allows you to operate as a security guard in Dubai.
There was just one sira training center in Dubai (Security Cadre Training Center), however, to meet the demand for training, there are now 4 more canters operating throughout the city.
Although certain training centers have conducted by private security firms in collaboration with the Security regulating body, the instructors and examiners come to form the SIRA Dubai.
