What is an employment contract?

Over Time Pay
The UAE Labor Law allows employees to earn overtime pay if they work over a specified number of hours in a day or over a specified number of days in a week.
- If employees work overtime, they will get to an additional 25% of their wage with ordinary wage.
- If employees work from 9 pm to 4 am the employer needs to pay an additional 50% of the wage with normal wage.
- Overtime hours may not exceed two hours per day unless unconditionally necessary to avoid a catastrophic loss, a significant accident, or to remove or mitigate the consequences.
